What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Front Office Receptionist position at Children's Primary Dental/SMPDC?
Dental Front Office will provide leadership related to the success, growth and reputation of our dental office. This position will work with the corporate management team to ensure the strategies and practice management are align with company’s standards. This position will assume fiscal responsibility of Dental business operations, efficient staffing and scheduling models, and policy/procedure development.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
a. Plan dental business scheduling to ensure excellent patient support services.
b. Daily office activities as needed. Including but not limited to:
i. Appointment confirmations
ii. Answering patient phone calls
iii. Insurance eligibility
iv. Patient Reviews
v. Collections and Accounts Receivable
vi. Patient Follow up
c. Ensure that patient appointments, cancellations and last-minute adjustments are handled properly.
d. Respond efficiently to patient and doctor needs and inquires.
e. Ensure the delivery of quality dental care to patients.
f. Respond to patient queries and issues and ensure patient satisfaction.
g. Resolve patient issues in accordance with company polices and procedures, healthcare regulations and dental board standards.
h. Organize and present treatment plans with patients.
i. Manage specialist referral process.
j. Train, develop and manage staff to meet performance standards.
k. Develop promotional programs to attract more patients.
l. Assist and develop back office activities.
m. Follow and enforce office policies and regulations.
n. Identify areas of improvements and concerns and implement appropriate corrective actions.
o. t. Ensure that records are stored securely and in compliance with privacy and security regulations.
u. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
v. Take responsibility for the appearance and functionality of the dental office.
w. All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have 1- 3 years of recent and relevant experience working in the Dental field, preferably management.
- 1-3 years working in Pediatric and Orthodontic care preferred.
- Proficiency with dental practice management software. Dentrix preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and utilization
