What are the responsibilities and job description for the Victim Advocate position at Children's Safe Harbor (childrenssafeharbor.org)?
The Victim Advocate is an integral member of our team where they engage with clients throughout their appointment. This candidate is responsible for enriching the client experience by ensuring that all of the people who enter the building are greeted and connected with the appropriate staff, and all youth are engaged in enrichment activities.
Job duties include:
- Greets caregivers and children and assists in maintaining their comfort and confidentiality throughout their appointment.
- Assists families with CSH paperwork and answers any questions as needed.
- Supervises the playroom and creates a comfortable, safe environment for children, which may include playing with them, as they await services.
- Directs incoming calls and emails to the appropriate department and assist with general questions about the CAC services and reporting child abuse.
- Provide exceptional and professional customer service and help resolve client/team/staff concerns
- Administer surveys regarding CSH services.
- Data entry for new and existing clients.
- Responsible for cleaning/maintenance of the public areas, especially the waiting rooms.
- Provides daily confirmation calls for next day appointments.
- Serves as the staff/team point of contact for facility issues.
- Participates in staff meetings regarding systems coordination.
- Maintains accurate time sheets and time management and activity logs for grant purposes.
- Serves as a support staff as need in an 24/7 on-call rotation.

- High School Graduate or Associate degree in social work or related field.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
