Friend-chip Goals:

Chip City began in Astoria, Queens opening their first bakery in July 2017. Chip City created a signature 5.5-ounce cookie that is served warm making it a chewy & gooey experience. It was a hit with the customers, and they formed lines daily at the Astoria bakery to purchase the cookies. Later sharing their love of the unique Chip City cookie experience on social media making the company go viral. Chip City now offers over 50 unique cookie creations with a daily rotating menu. It has since expanded to over 20 bakeries throughout New York and New Jersey with plans to open additional bakeries in the near future.

What job are we baking:

We are looking for a Counter Staff to join our retail bakery team in our NEW STORE in Bethesda, MD. Must have a passion for building relationships, delivering a great customer experience, and willingness to learn. This role will report to the General Manager and partners with the Shift Lead.

Your bakery duties:

• Provides a warm, welcoming, and informative experience to all customers
• Bakes signature cookies and creates specialty drinks to high standards
• Responds courteously and timely to customer feedback
• Maintains a high-level of cleanliness in the bakery
• Provides scheduling flexibility according to business needs

Your main ingredients:

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
• Strong communication skills, open to feedback, and takes action
• Ability to learn and utilize technology
• Ability to navigate a bakery, stockroom, office, and lift up to 30 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation
• 18 years of age or older
• Interest in being a baker or barista a plus!
