The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for campus visitors and callers. This person is responsible for providing excellent customer service and coordinating support for client appointments and transportation. It also serves as the communication hub for incoming and outgoing information and provides administrative support in the business office.
Status and Compensation:
Tuesday evenings 4:30 to 8:00 pm / Every 4th Thursday 4:30 to 8 pm
Every other weekend 10 am to 2 pm or 2 pm to 6 pm (some flexibility options)
2-3 holidays a year - 9 am to 5:30 pm
Compensation is hourly, based on qualifications and experience
Weekend pay differential opportunity
Paid twice monthly
Duties and responsibilities include:
Assisting with scheduling appointments and transportation arrangements for clients
Limiting clerical distractions in the Nursing department
Serving as first point of contact and first impression for Chippewa Manor, receiving, screening and giving directions to clients, visitors, guests, sales representatives, etc.
Transmitting information to callers, according to established procedures
Locating personnel through established procedures, including paging system
Notifying Dietary and Therapy of new admission arrivals
Organizing new admission charts, assists with client discharges and record storage
Assisting Medical Records as requested
Assisting with business office duties such as miscellaneous typing, filing, stuffing envelopes, preparing lists and generating reports as assigned
Providing campus tours in absence of social workers
Recognizing basic safety issues and notifies appropriate staff
Other duties as discussed and/or assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Long-term care experience
Previous human resources, customer service or related experience preferred
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
Organized, energetic and friendly
Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships
Ability to exercise judgement and discretion in human resources and health care matters
Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively
Ability and willingness to communicate with others and respond to specific instructions
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
