Chipset21 is looking for a full-time Technician to join our team!
Job Summary:
The Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our equipment. This includes, but not limited to, the following:
- Perform preventive maintenance on our equipment.
- Diagnose and repair equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on our facility.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas.
- Ensure equipment is maintained.
- Ensure work area is clean and safe at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand technical documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to use basic office equipment such as computer, printer, fax machine, etc..
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive motions for long periods of time, reach above shoulder level, climb ladders and work at heights; must be able to lift 50 pounds more or less frequently than every 15 minutes or more frequently than every 30 minutes.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time at a distance of 6 feet 6 inches away from the machine on which the report was written. Must be able to stoop, kneel or crouch when necessary to reach parts of the machine. Must be able to push a pallet jack up to 50 pounds. Must be able to push a forklift up to 100 pounds up a lift ramp. Must be able to walk on uneven ground throughout the entire day. Must be able to wear proper PPE (personal protection equipment) such as hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel toe shoes with steel-toed boots when necessary. Must have a valid driver’s license.
