Maintenance Director
Our mission is to offer quality care to our residents, and to provide for them a loving and compassionate environment, attending carefully to their physical, spiritual, and emotional needs.
The primary purpose of the job position is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the general and preventive maintenance of physical plant and grounds as directed by the Administrator, to assure that our facility is maintained according to policy.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the facility and department is maintained as required by regulation.
- Ensure that supplies are requested, approved and ordered according to policy.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining infection control, waste disposal and Universal Precautions policies and procedures to ensure that sanitary environment is maintained at all times and that aseptic and isolation techniques are followed by all responsible personnel
- Oversee Maintenance Service department employees on a daily basis
- Orients new employees to maintenance duties
- Maintains building appearance and accessibility for residents and staff by maintaining lawn and shrubs, snow removal, and picking up of litter and other debris
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Qualifications:
- One (1) year of supervisory experience required.
- Previous long-term care experience preferred.
- Experience in basic repair and maintenance such as plumbing, carpentry and painting preferred.
- High school Diploma or Equivalent required.
