What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation Technician I (Grade 4) - C Shift (6:00PM-6:30AM, Every other weekend required) position at Chobani?
The role of the CIP Technician I is to assist CIP Team Lead and Production Operators in cleaning the production filling equipment. The CIP Technician will follow all applicable GMP and Safety guidelines (including chemical handling) and will complete the needed tasks/duties as scheduled or when needed. This role has a responsibility for ensuring both food safety and quality of Chobani product.
The responsibilities of this position include:
- Follow all plant and department safety procedures
- Follow all plant GMP procedures
- Follow all plant and department general sanitation procedures
- Safe use and handling of hazardous chemicals
- Safe use of scissor lift equipment, use of fall protection equipment
- Continuous work in wet environment
- Respond to Bloodborne Pathogen contamination
- Respond to chemical spills
- Participation in productivity and continuous improvement projects
- Maintain clean and organized working environment
- Accurate documentation of CIP records, Master Sanitation Schedule completion and manufacturing equipment cleaning
- Operation of floor scrubbing machine
- Operation of chemical foaming equipment
- Offloading of bulk hazardous chemical
- Disassembly and reassembly of manufacturing equipment
- Follow plant and department allergen sanitation and isolation protocol and procedures
- Follow Chobani’s Master Sanitation Schedule for equipment and environmental cleaning
- Setting up and prepping manufacturing equipment for CIP
- Manual cleaning and sanitation of manufacturing equipment and environment
- Cleaning and sanitation of manufacturing equipment by CIP
- Pre-CIP and Post-CIP inspection of manufacturing equipment
- Verification swabbing for clean equipment
- Follow chemical titration procedures
- Basic knowledge of valve, pump and instrumentation functionality
- Basic knowledge of CIP functionality
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing equipment and CIP system HMI functionality
- Verification and review of CIP processes on filling equipment visually and using the Carlson CIPHD Program
- Troubleshooting of equipment and CIP system issues
- Escalation of equipment and CIP system issues to management
- Perform other duties as assigned
The requirements of this position include:
- Education/Training: High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 3 months food manufacturing experience preferred
- Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office
