The Facilities Manager will oversee all daily operations of both the Engineering and Housekeeping departments to ensure that all public and back of house meet Radisson RED standards. In addition, the position will assist in overseeing Security for the building.Key Responsibilities

Participates in the development and implementation of business strategies for the hotel which are aligned with Radisson s overall mission, vision values and strategies
- Participates in the development of the hotel’s business strategies
- Develops and implements strategies for hotel engineering and housekeeping department that support achievement of the hotel’s goals and procedures
- Monitors status regularly and adjusts strategies as appropriate
- Develops the annual budget in conjunction with the Executive Committee
- Continually improves the hotel engineering department and adheres to Radisson brand standards

Maximizes profitability and revenue by directing the Engineering department
- Manages the Engineering department and any third-party vendor to ensure superior service and quality
- Develops and implements quality control programs, conducts annual compliance training in accordance with local, state and federal laws.
- Reviews contracts and negotiates revisions to contractual agreements with vendors, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
- Interprets plans and contract terms with Engineering team, management, clients, and vendors
- Manages the relationship with the outsourced security company
- Manages the guest incident reporting and partners with front office
- Monitors compliance with building safety codes, protocols, health and safety laws and other regulations, conduct walk-throughs to assess the safety and efficiency of equipment and maintenance of structure
- Maintains Responsible Business programs and training for hotel
- Manages hotel renovations, coordinates project status with Corporate Technical Services, architects, licensing agencies, contractors and hotel management
- Manages the operation of the housekeeping, public space and laundry areas; ensures that the rooms and public space areas meet Radisson cleanliness expectations and are continually restocked and maintained
- Develops procedures and standards for assigned departments which support the achievement of service and financial goals
- Follows the assigned annual budget as it relates to labor, payroll and supplies; monitors achievement of budget and takes corrective steps as appropriate
- Inspects rooms, public space and back-of-the house areas continually
- Determines appropriate staffing levels for forecasted business and schedules employees according to business needs and occupancy
- Develops and implements, maintains procedures for providing employees with Radisson required training to include protocols and safety training on an ongoing basis
- Ensures health/safety of employees and guests by maintaining hotel in accordance to statutes and regulations and directs and trains staff accordingly
- Oversees inventory, purchasing, disbursement and cost control for all linens, cleaning supplies, customer room and restroom supplies, laundry supplies, etc.
- Manages operation of (and/or outsourced relationship with) laundry
- Monitors assigned departments with compliance to safety standards
- Coordinates room availability with the Front Office Manager

Develops and implements strategies and practices which support employee engagement
- Develops and recruits the human resources necessary to achieve hotel and Management Services’ goals
- Directs the development and implementation of strategies and practices which support employee engagement throughout the hotel
- Oversees all facets of human resources management including the recruitment and selection, training & development, compensation, recognition and performance management of the work force
- Takes active role in recruitment and selection of qualified candidates
- Communicates performance expectations and provides employees with on-going feedback
- Provides employees with coaching and counseling as needed to achieve performance objectives and reach their fullest potential
- Drives employee engagement through the creation and implementation of departmental action plans

- Communicates and reinforces the vision for customer service to all managers, supervisors and employees

- Ensures that all minimum requirements of the 100% Guest Satisfaction Guarantee are in place and understood by all employees
- Ensures that the hotel delivers 100% Guest Satisfaction by developing customer feedback avenues (soliciting input, reports, etc.) and focusing management team on identifying trends and developing and implementing solutions
- Creates an environment that provides employees with the tools, training and environment they need to deliver the service brand behavior and teamwork
- Performs other duties as required by Management to provide 100% Guest Satisfaction and genuine hospitality to our Guest
Requirements/Skills
- Minimum of two-years in a supervisory or management engineering position experience in the hotel industry
- Minimum of two-years in a supervisory or management housekeeping position experience in the hotel industry
- Minimum of two-years work experience at a similar size hotel
- High school diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong organizational skills, critical thinking skills, problem solver
- Hotel Operating Systems experience
- Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations
- Must be able to accurately follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively
- Works well independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong mathematical and organizational skills required
- Commitment to exceptional guest service
- Able to resolve conflicts guests, supervisor and employee
- Advance knowledge of building management and engineering
- Excellent organizational skills
- General understanding of insurance requirements
- Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Physical Demands
- Required to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of times
- Lift, carry, or otherwise move and use of force or exertion up to 75 lbs.
- Use of manual dexterity of common office equipment; such as but not limited to, computers, printers, phones ect.
Other Information
The hotel business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day. All associates must realize this fact and be aware that at all times it may be necessary to move associates from their accustomed shift and alter assigned duties as business dictates. In addition, this is a hospitality business, and a hospitable service atmosphere must be maintained at all times
