What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Supervisor position at Choice Program?
This is responsible managerial human services work shall oversee professional and non professional staff in multiple residential (24-hour) facilities or non residential programs overseeing and conducting client monitoring, counseling, social and recreational development, and life management/educational activities. Work involves supervising or developing changes in facility structure and ensuring work environment safety and compliance with program and/or facility polices and procedures, local, state, and federal statutes, regulations and licensures.
SUPERVISION
Employee works under the direction of agency COO. Employee must have the ability to make difficult program decisions regarding client treatment, interventions, referrals, policies, and procedures keeping agency COO apprised of critical issues. Work is reviewed through weekly meetings, to discuss compliance with new and existing rules, regulations, polices and procedures, legislative issues, and specific problems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIOINS OF WORK (May perform one or more of the following sets of duties)
Plans, organizes, and supervises development and delivery of daily client monitoring activities and services at multiple residential sites; ensures daily compliance with program procedures; establishes work performance standards; develops reviews, updates program polices and procedures; ensures proper documentation and monitors delivery of quality services in accordance with standards.
Ensures compliance with various contractual and/ or program requirements; conducts and attends staff meetings; monitors and analyzes performance measures/outcomes; conducts on-going staff development training.
Provides clinical and technical guidance to staff; monitors and reviews client charts, files; makes client scheduling decisions; provides guidance and assistance to staff and clients cases; performs and assists with client/ family Services and intervention problem-solving and advocacy; may provide direct services and intervention to clients.
Assists in the development and monitoring of program expenditures, revenue, and budget; monitors client statistics;
Monitors and ensures proper maintenance of residential facilities and grounds.
Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff; conducts job performance evaluations of program staff; handles personnel problems; counsels and advises staff according to agency policy and procedures
Monitors, oversees, and authorizes billing processes for compliance with regulatory policies; manages client accounts and petty cash; monitors and authorizes travel reimbursements, time sheets, reports, and other documentation from staff.
Documents and monitors program progress; prepares monthly and annual program reports; provides information regarding caseloads; productivity; program progress, staff development.
Ensures facility coverage in emergency situations. Participates in rotating 7-day On-Call rotation and adheres to On-Call policy and procedure, MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK 4 (24 HOUR) shifts monthly to ensure program compliance, hands on, at various facilities.
Education Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree in social work or in a related area of study from an accredited college or university and at least two (2) years of experience working with children; or two (2) years of college and three (3) years of experience working with children; or at least five (5) years of experience working in child welfare without a post-secondary degree.
