Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and escort them to their tables
- Present menus and explain daily specials to customers
- Take accurate food and drink orders from patrons
- Deliver orders promptly and accurately to tables
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food
- Provide recommendations on menu items and upsell additional items when appropriate
- Handle cash transactions and process payments using the POS system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area
- Assist in bussing tables and sanitizing dining surfaces
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food service or a similar role is preferred
- Proficiency in food handling procedures and sanitation standards
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Sales skills to promote menu items and upsell to customers
- Knowledge of fine dining etiquette is advantageous
- Ability to handle guest relations professionally and resolve any issues promptly
- Basic math skills for processing orders and handling payments
