The Role

Do you thrive in a fast paced startup environment, and love building processes from the ground up?  If so, Chorus is looking for a Senior HR Manager to lead and refine our company’s HR initiatives. This person will partner with our leadership teams to develop HR best practices and processes, and will help define the employee experience at Chorus. You will also work closely with Legal, Operations, and Recruiting on all employee related matters, and be an ambassador for the culture of the organization. Responsibilities 

 

  • Partner, coach, and counsel executive leadership on all HR related matters 
  • Oversee and implement improvements of employee benefit programs 
  • Partner with executive leadership on company wide leveling and pay equity initiatives
  • Partner with leadership team on the development of performance management processes including performance review cycles with clear, objective, and consistent performance reviews and feedback
  • Collaborate with Legal, Recruiting, and Operations teams on all employee relations and prospective candidate matters 
  • Build strong relationships with employees and managers to understand the departmental and overall business needs, and identify areas of improvement
  • Foster a culture of employee engagement and accountability by recommending and implementing solutions and processes as needed 
  • Collaborate with leadership teams and Recruiting on headcount planning and leveling for each department
  • Stay up to date with current HR trends and laws to ensure that company is always practicing industry best practices


Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or 9 years of relevant human resource experience
  • At least 2 years of experience HR Leadership experience 
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to influence executive team members
  • Experience driving and implementing HR processes and best practices in a fast paced environment 
  • Collaborative and strong team-oriented mindset to partner effectively with leaders and employees across the organization
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize the most important business needs 
  • Ability to serve as a trusted and approachable leader to all employees, and maintain strict confidentiality on sensitive information


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience in a fast paced start-up environment
  • Experience at a health tech start-up 
  • Demonstrated experience managing and leading employees
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems
  • Proficiency with ATS like Greenhouse

Base Salary:  $115,000/year - $135,000/year

Total compensation package includes a performance bonus and stock options. Final compensation will vary based on years of experience, interview performance, and other factors.
