General Summary
The Process Specialist will support operations by troubleshooting, analyzing data and improving processes.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Drive product processability improvement projects
- Conduct analytical work to drive improvement
- Handling material shortages (BOM and blend sheet updates)
- Reformulation Deviation Coordination
- Coordination of customer artwork updates of existing customer projects
- Lead transfer of existing products to/from other Chr. Hansen facilities as needed
- Validates the implementation of new equipment as needed
- Submits change control documentation as needed
- Support other duties that support the facility
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- 4 Year Degree required in a scientific discipline
- Knowledge of cGMP regulations preferred
- Experience with production support
- Good verbal & written communication skills
- Proven project management experience
- Ability to read and write procedures, instruction, policies, or documentation
- Working knowledge of MS Office needed to perform essential duties. SAP, DocBox, Salesforce experience preferred.
- Possess basic knowledge in Lean and/or Six Sigma principles
- Data driven, detail oriented, must be able to prioritize
- Able to work in a cross functional setting
- Enthusiastic, cooperative, and a positive attitude
Working Conditions
Working environment is generally favorable. Lighting, temperature and noise levels are adequate with occasional exposure to cold temperatures. Frequent entry into the production facility requires personal protective equipment to be worn at all times. This includes a lab coat, hair/beard net, safety glasses, and gloves. Domestic and international travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk, hear, use hands to finger, handle or touch objects, keyboard and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
