The Paint Supervisor is responsible for helping the staff achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning and assigning work, monitoring, evaluating job results and recommending improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions in the Assembly Department.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure effective employee relations. Provide employee coaching and development. Makes employment decisions. Resolve employee issues through problem resolution. Counsel's employees on how to achieve an optimal output or workflow.
- Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Work to continuously improve in all areas.
- Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to Sr. Supervisor and Manager.
- Provide leadership and training to the employees.
- Implements cost-saving strategies and techniques.
- Compiles and analyzes production records.
- Manage Quarterly quality reviews.
- Perform accident investigations.
- Maintain proper inventory levels.
- Manage department priorities.
- Enforces company policies and guidelines.
- Track absenteeism and timekeeping.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment.
- Shares information within and across groups.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility:
Manage all employees of the department and is responsible for leadership, coaching and developing, performance management, hiring of the employees within its department and any other employee relation issues.
Minimum Skill Requirements:
- 5 years' experience in similar role painting boats, automobiles or similar field.
- 5 years' experience in manufacturing operations.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Supervisory role.
- Must be able to read and write English.
- General knowledge of boat building and/or assembly in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- High school diploma or GED required.
