What Our Group Leaders Do:
  • Manage multiple, complex projects, properly allocating workload responsibilities
  • Responsible for team efficiency, productivity, and meeting deadlines
  • Coordinate with all disciplines to ensure complete knowledge of the project and its progression
  • Retain and develop staff and conduct regular employee reviews
  • Conduct interviews with prospective employees
  • Understand company revenue metrics to ensure production is profitable – meeting multiplier goals, labor hour projections and overall profitability
  • Prepare yearly goals and take ownership of the fiscal success of their group
  • Prepare workload/backlog projections
  • Prepare and review proposals with pricing tool and work orders
  • Act as primary point of contact for a client’s production needs on a project
  • Handle client expectations including project schedule and budget
  • Lead clients through projects and jurisdictional regulations
  • Understand, promote, and enforce all company policies
  • Ensure christopher’s QA/QC procedures are being implemented for each project and in a timely manner
  • Ensure internal and external checklists procedures are followed on projects
  • Review pre-bills prepared by Sr. PMs and/or PMs
  • Review and approve employee timesheets
  • Maintain a pipeline of business to provide team consistent work
  • Get involved in local committees and industry organizations
  • Attend industry events with the goal of bringing in new clients or employees
  • Attend monthly meetings with Business Development team
  • Assist Business Development team with RFPs

What We Look For:
  • 15 years of civil engineering experience
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing a team of engineers
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil Engineering
  • Proficient in project scoping, site design for land development projects, grading, drainage, utility design, E&S control, and SWM
  • Highly proficient with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, and Word
  • PE preferred but not required
