Job Description
As the Environmental Health and Safety Specialist at Chromalloy, you'd be working with leadership to provide first class training to the manufacturing floor to ensure safety of all employees and compliance with EHS laws.
Primary Accountabilities:
- Support the implementation of EHS SOPs and Commitment to Safety Program.
- Manage the sites EMIS – Dakota Software and Scope 5
- Accident Incident Investigation
- Internal Auditing
- Corrective Action Item tracking/completion
- Tracking of utility metrics
- Training, including development of training materials and conducting training as necessary to ensure facility compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA, DHS, CDRH and DOT regulations including, but not limited to:
- RCRA Large Quantity Generator waste management
- SPCC
- GA Air Permit
- Coordinates routine testing and monitoring as required
- Spill and serious event contingency planning
- Monitors program compliance and conducts audits for environmental, health and safety
Qualifications
Education:
- BS or MS degree in engineering, chemistry, or environmental health and safety.
- Professional certifications or a desire to work towards (PE, CIH, CSP, CHMM, OHSAS etc.).
Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in an EHS role in manufacturing, preferably within the Aerospace Industry.
- Desired experience managing Hazardous Waste programs.
- Up to date with latest EHS regulations and directives.
