What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Wholistic Ministry position at Church at Stone River?
Main Function: The Church at Stone River was founded in 2017 and Wholistic Ministry is a significant part of the church’s culture and vision. Our Wholistic Ministry is an innovative and intentional commitment to building relationships and fostering hope and healing for the whole person. As a developer and on behalf of the church, The Director will connect and engage with the community in unique and life-giving partnerships supporting the four stones of Stone River’s Wholistic Ministry: spiritual, emotional, relational, and physical.
Unique to Wholistic Ministry: The Wholistic Ministry has the physical space in a new building and the existing church facility to support extensive ministry opportunities allowing it to be a resource for the surrounding community. The ministry seeks to provide an opportunity to care for our community neighbors as whole persons in multifaceted areas of their lives.

-Create new ways to expand the Wholistic Ministry beyond the present ministries
-Ensure programming opportunities for each of the 4 Stones: spiritual, emotional, relational, & physical
-Extend Stone River’s efforts to connect with the community & to build partnerships with other community groups
-Create and maintain the building schedule for Wholistic Ministries and outside partnerships
-Identify and supervise Wholistic Ministry staff and teams as well as recruit & equip volunteers
-In union with the Executive Pastor, maintain the Wholistic Ministry budget
-Usher in a culture of belonging which is a foundational element of United Methodist teachings
-Integrate Wholistic Ministry within the ongoing ministry opportunities of Stone River & the community
-Be present and represent Wholistic Ministry within the life of Stone River
Requirements/Preferences:
-Education or Experience in Social Work, Counseling, Coaching, Business, or related field
- Experience leading as an entrepreneur to create new ways to expand and grow
- Experience supervising a staff
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience working with and enhancing a team culture
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
