We are looking for Ecological Consultants to join the growing CHW Ecological Services Department and become part of the CHW team. Our team regularly designs and permits residential, non-residential, mixed-use, institutional, roadway, environmental restoration, and trail system projects where a wide range of environmental services are required. These services include: local, state, and federal environmental permitting, wetland delineations, wetland mitigation design, project development & environment studies (PD&E), preparation of open space/habitat management plans, environmental resource assessments, listed species assessments, gopher tortoise surveys, vegetation and wildlife surveys, and expert witness testimonies. Main Responsibilities:
- Work on a wide variety of environmental permitting, environmental planning, environmental compliance monitoring, and natural resources projects as they relate to land development, transportation, and environmental restoration-focused projects
- Prepare Environmental Resource Assessments to support project applications
- Delineate jurisdictional wetland lines to be approved by appropriate permitting agency
- Assess and analyze project impacts to identify permit requirements; and develop strategies to avoid or minimize impacts and permit requirements
- Coordinate with local, state, and federal environmental permitting agencies and staff
- Coordinate with clients and other professional disciplines
- Support senior ecological staff and other project managers across CHW in completing required environmental studies, documents, and reports
- Research and interpret scientific studies, regulatory programs, guidance, and applications
- Assimilate and manage data, provide creative graphical representations of complex information
- Work with geographic positioning tools and information systems
