Cliveden Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is a 180-bed skilled nursing facility offering short-term rehabilitation and long-term care services. Our staff is committed to providing excellent care and services in a friendly, resident-focused, home-like environment.
The Staff Educator’s primary function is to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the educational programs and services for Cliveden Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. In addition, this position is responsible for providing appropriate orientation programs for all newly hired facility employees and educational programs to residents, residents’ facilities, and other responsible parties based on identified needs and knowledge deficits.
Responsibilities:
- Assesses the educational needs of employees, residents, family members, and responsible parties in collaboration with the Director of Nursing, Supervisors, and other personnel.
- Formulates in-service education objectives, establishes criteria for all in-service education programs, and constructs the curriculum, course outlines, objectives, teaching methods, examinations, and evaluation tools for each program.
- Constructs an annual schedule for the presentation of mandatory in-service programs.
- Plans, schedules, and implements an orientation for all new hires involving department heads as presenters; also manages nursing orientation per company program.
- Supplements and integrates in-service education into everyday clinical practice throughout the facility.
- Distributes educational materials to facility employees to foster continuing updating of knowledge; maintains up-to-date resources for the facility.
- Serves on committees as assigned; participates and contributes to the facility’s Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Program (QAPI).
- Submits monthly reports to the NHA and DON regarding training administered within the facility, outcomes, employee participation, etc.
Requirements:
- CDC COVID-19 vaccination card showing fully vaccinated.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
- Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania along with BLS certification.
- Two years of clinical experience along with 3 years of experience in a long-term care facility with one year of work experience as a nursing staff educator or manager of direct care staff.
- Two-step PPD within the last six months.
