SHEETER
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work from blueprints, sketches, drawings, sample parts and written/verbal work instructions to construct and assemble components of trailer assemblies using electric, pneumatic and hand-powered tools.
- Verify conformance of product with the appropriate specifications and standards from work order and drawings
- Measure, mark, cut and machine parts on machines such as tube bender, bandsaw, plasma torch or other machines
- Confer and collaborate with other sheeters and/or supervisors to resolve any product or process problems
- Adhere to and sustain lean manufacturing processes including but not limited to 5-S, Point of Use Storage, Kanban systems, etc. in order to maintain productivity requirements and a clean, safe work area
- Required to be able to float to other departments at any time as needed by the Company
- Required to follow all policies and procedures as directed by Cimarron Trailers
- Responsible for ensuring quality product is completed in a timely manner.
- Regular attendance is a critical function of this job
Education and Experience:
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/16’s of an inch
- Capable of welding aluminum parts using a mig welder (preferred but not required)
- Capable of using a plasma torch as well as other tools needed for the job
- Must possess the ability to work effectively with your team and other teams.
- Must be familiar with product construction and application and provide quality work at the source.
- This position requires that the person be an organized individual, who is self-motivated, and can work independently.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and or priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
- Must maintain regular work schedule to ensure product flow
Physical Demands:
- Required to stand and move about the facility for prolonged periods of time, including up to an entire 8 hour shift as well as any required overtime.
- Able to stoop, bend, twist, squat, and kneel during the course of the day
- Required to be able to use hands and arms to repetitively grip, twist, squeeze and otherwise use tools such as welding guns, plasma torches, pneumatic and electric hand tools and other types of hand tools throughout the 8 hour shift as well as any required overtime.
- Frequent and repetitive lifting of up to 25 lbs. throughout shift and occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs. individually throughout the shift. Anything over 50 lbs. is team-lifted.
- Required to be able to safely and effectively handle necessary tools required to perform the essential functions of the position.

Work Environment:
- Combination of typical non air-conditioned plant and outdoor environment.
- Exposed to any number of elements, extreme heat & cold, working in and out of doors between buildings
- Exposed to loud noise throughout shift – hearing protection is required for this job
- Exposed to smoke/fumes from welding operations
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
