JOB SUMMARY
Self-motivated individual that is responsible for completion of daily janitorial needs. This includes vacuuming of floors in all areas, cleaning soiled carpets when needed, mopping all areas, cleaning restrooms, restocking restroom paper products, and all trash removal. Must be able to assign tasks to workers for completion. Other responsibilities include training of employees, planning, assigning, and directly working with team. Additionally, responsible for addressing and resolving cleaning issues given by the management team.
JOB DUTIES
- Work independently and follow instructions with little or no supervision.
- Ability to lead a small team of janitorial employees to ensure all assigned tasks are fulfilled daily.
- Perform janitorial tasks including dusting, glass cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, restroom cleaning, paper restocking, and trash removal.
- Use industrial cleaning supplies and equipment and follow all MSDS safety guidelines.
- Maintain equipment in safe, clean and orderly manner. Request repairs when needed.
- Responsible for requesting equipment and supplies as needed.
- Adhere to safety procedures.
- Maintain security of building at all times, keeping all interior and exterior doors securely locked.
- Report any unsafe or hazardous conditions immediately to supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Must be able to report to assigned job on time.
- Must able to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, reach, pull and lift heavy objects of 40 or more pounds and climb stairs.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must have reliable means of transportation to and from work.
- Position may require travel to other locations.
- Flexible working hours including nights, holidays and weekends.
