Position Mission
The Supervisor, Warehouse position is responsible for sourcing, planning, receiving, storing, distributing, and shipping material to meet quality, delivery, cost and inventory objectives. They negotiate price and delivery terms on Longmont specific material. They manage a small team of material handlers to accomplish the above. They are also responsible for procuring all in-direct material and capital to support the site.
Tasks description – Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Tasks description – Essential Duties and Responsibilities
INVENTORY PLANNING: 20% of position responsibility
- Coordinate material planning activities to align supply with business demand.
- Oversees month-end/quarter-end/year-end inventory count processes and results.
- Interfaces with manufacturing management on material status and production planning issues.
- Communicating risks and stock-outs to the correct stake holders
- Facilitates end of month, end of quarter, and end of year inventories to ensure accuracy
- Ensures auditable inventory process
- Maintains accurate WIP calculations
- Assist with continuous process improvement solutions to control inventory flow, minimize shortages, and maintain accuracy in ERP system
SUPERVISION/WAREHOUSE: 60% of position responsibility
- Creates a culture of Continuous Improvement. Identifies, schedules, coordinates and completes projects as needed.
- Develops a strong team through effective recruiting, selection, training, and coaching.
- Maintains high performance through coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees and planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Provides leadership, guidance and training in all warehouse functional areas, software, SOP’s, and company policies and procedures.
- Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees.
- Manages receiving, warehousing, and shipping operations.
- Keep warehouse vehicles, equipment and machinery in top working order
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security and safety.
- Plans warehouse layouts and material flows to optimize space efficiency and delivery.
- Maintain physical condition of warehouse.
VENDER MANAGEMENT: 20% of position responsibility
- Communicates and facilitates communication with venders based off changes in process, inventory levels, and upcoming events from Sales
- Manages vendors relationships
- Manages freight partners

Skills, Intellectual Demands and Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree, and/or 2 years of experience in a production planning/materials controls function or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Problem Solving/Analysis and decision-making proficiency.
- Technical Capacity.
- Communication Proficiency with all levels of management.
- Collaboration Skills.
INTELLECTUAL DEMANDS:
- Must understand vague and implicit instructions, and react favorably in all work situations.
- Must have significant analytical problem-solving capabilities.
