What you’ll be responsible for:
The Onboarding Associate will be the main point of contact for companies preparing to raise with SeedInvest, actively managing all activities related to deal onboarding and launching investment opportunities on the platform. Those activities include working directly with companies to structure their offering, complete their offering materials, perform confirmatory due diligence, and complete other operational tasks needed to launch the campaign on the platform. As an Associate, you'll be expected to be excellent at building relationships with and stewarding companies through the Onboarding Process.
What you'll work on
Project Management:
- Company onboarding and fundraise preparation.
- Setting and managing timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables throughout the company onboarding process
- Managing multiple complex projects simultaneously under tight timelines.
- Defining and iterating on operational processes
Due Diligence:
- Confirmatory due diligence for companies that have applied to raise on the platform.
- Aligning work around due diligence, legal document review, marketing preparation, and compliance.
- Thorough reviews of company-offering materials to comply with FINRA and SEC rules.
Relationship Management:
- Maintaining relationships with entrepreneurs throughout the onboarding process, including active communication, escalation management, and active collaboration.
- Managing collaborative work across entrepreneurs, third-party service providers, and people across the entire SeedInvest team.

What you'll bring to Circle:
- BA/BS degree required.
- Demonstrated project management and timeline management skills.
- 3 years of experience with a startup, investment bank, law firm, or another regulated industry.
- Confidence in speaking with C-level executives, founders, and management teams, with an ability to quickly build trusting relationships.
- Extraordinary communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Creative thinking, solution-orientation when presented with complex problems.
- Strong ability to prioritize, work independently, and complete tasks without oversight.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Slack, and Apple MacOS preferred.
Extra credit if:
- J.D. or CPA experience.
- SIE, Series 82, and Series 63 licenses (if not already licensed, you must be prepared to take exams within 2-3 months of joining).

More about the Onboarding Team at SeedInvest:
The Onboarding Team at SeedInvest is responsible for preparing companies for a successful fundraising campaign. The Onboarding Team sits between the Venture and Venture Growth teams at SeedInvest, taking ownership of the relationship with the company once we at SeedInvest and the company have mutually agreed to work together on the company’s fundraising campaign; the Onboarding team hands off that relationship to the Venture Growth team once the company is fully ready to launch their campaign on SeedInvest. We are the main point of contact for entrepreneurs as they prepare their fundraising campaigns and onboard onto the SeedInvest platform and the team’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Completing legal due diligence on the organization, corporate structure and ownership, people behind the company.
- Completing confirmatory due diligence on information provided to our Deal Committee and investors.
- Assisting in the drafting and compliance review of key statements throughout offering materials.
- Compiling and presenting confirmatory due diligence and fact checking findings for internal review and approval.
- Managing the Financial Statement review or audit process with the external CPA.
- Liaising between internal and external legal teams to finalize offering documents.
- Drafting and reviewing documents to be filed with the SEC and FINRA.
As project managers, it is our job to help entrepreneurs understand the onboarding process, execute tasks, and manage timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables throughout the process. Furthermore, the team constantly interacts and aligns with multiple stakeholders to “quarterback” the onboarding process, including:
- Founders of the company
- Management and other key persons at the company
- Board members of the company
- CPAs (3rd party or internal) to the company
- Legal Counsel (3rd party or internal) to the company
- Venture Team at SeedInvest
- Venture Growth Team at SeedInvest
- Capital Markets Team at SeedInvest
- Legal & Compliance Team at SeedInvest
Lastly, the Onboarding Team is responsible for owning the company onboarding process and owns certain KPIs that feed directly to the success of SeedInvest:
- Maximizing deal launches
- Minimizing deal churn
- Minimizing onboarding duration
