What is this role?
As a Photo Editor for Cirkul, you will play a crucial role in editing our photography that will be used across our social media platforms and various marketing materials. You must be familiar with manipulating photos and images as needed and know the key aspects of quality photo editing. You will have a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of online and social media trends. You will assist the photographer at photo shoots and provide support to the Brand Voice team. Your day will be filled with fast-paced assignments, high-quality output, and collaborative teamwork. You will organize and manage photo files according to the team's established system. You will ensure that files are safely stored, transferred, and backed up to a computer.
What does an average day look like?
- Driving Results: Maintain image quality and standards, including editing or retouching a high volume of assigned product images.
- Taking Ownership: Review to ensure accuracy, brand consistency, and adherence to Cirkul’s standards. Prepare edited photos for publishing, ensuring they meet platform requirements and are ready for scheduling posts at optimal times.
- Making Decisions: Stay updated on emerging trends and incorporate innovative editing techniques to enhance photos.
- Cultivating Relationships: Work closely with the Brand Voice team, photographers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment.
- Instilling Trust: Understanding of photography styles and techniques, and ensuring adherence to the style guide and branding.
- Customer Focus: Ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and resonates with our target audiences through engaging and shareable content.
What background should you have?
- 3 years experience as a Photo Editor, ideally for consumer brands
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suites is required
- Familiarity with DragonFrame and Helicon Focus
- Creative and detail-oriented
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly self-motivated and self-directed in your work with a bias towards action and a willingness to take on tasks no matter how big or small
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment
