Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including process planning, creating work instructions in MES (Solumina), and support manufacturing rework planning.
  • Maintain alignment between ERP and MES Database master data and ensure change management accuracy.
  • Ensure production rework planning change requests are accurate and completed in a timely fashion.
  • Provide real time planning updates to area technicians, leads and supervisors
  • Interpreting complex engineering documents and structures, and develop & improve process sequencing and work order clarity.
  • Support area Manufacturing Engineering and Liaison Engineering requests for work order modification.
  • Gather technical information from engineering drawings and specifications
  • Consult with engineers and production personnel
  • Proofread documents for spelling, grammar, technical accuracy, and quality requirements.
  • Use defined procedures to submit completed documents for review, approval, and release.
  • Participate in document review process.
  • Work with CAD models to create technical illustrations
  • Coordinate with QE/QA members to ensure work order planning meets engineering and process specifications


Qualifications

  • Two year degree and / or Two year’s industry experience in ERP or MES operating systems
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills required.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and technical reports.
  • Background in aircraft manufacturing preferred.
  • A working knowledge of aircraft structures and systems and familiarity with shop procedures preferred.
  • General understanding and ability to use standard measurement tools (calipers, micrometer, scales, gauge pins etc.)
  • General understanding of GD&T
  • Understand and comply with area safety requirements
  • General understanding and experience with Creo / Creo View / Windchill is preferred but not required
