Job Summary
The Product Data Architect is a configuration management position specializing in product configurations with expert knowledge of BOM structures that maintain the digital thread from design through service. This position requires expert knowledge in Windchill Change Objects, product structure attribution and capable of working on cross-functional new product development teams.
Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Manage product structure objectives and maintain strict coupling with digital thread
- Work closely with Windchill Administrators to develop configurations and customizations for the change process
- Enforce company product structuring policies to maintain data structure integrity and security
- Anticipate enterprise Product Structure and PLM needs
- Responsible for configuration audits
- Develop and conduct PDM technical training
- Participate and lead process improvement
- Analyze proposed changes of product design for impact to Bills of Materials

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or business administration is required
- Certificate in CMII, CMPIC, or PLM is preferred
- At least 10 years experience in configuration management is preferred
- Capable of using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Working knowledge of PTC PDM/PLM software
