Job Description:

CIT Electronics is seeking a dynamic and analytical professional to join our pricing team as a Pricing Analyst. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a keen understanding of pricing strategy, market dynamics, and the ability to balance analytics with intuition for effective decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Analysis:

• Regularly analyze inventory levels and turnover to optimize product availability and minimize holding costs.

Market Research:

• Conduct comprehensive market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor pricing strategies, and customer preferences.

Collaboration with Executive Team:

• Work closely with the executive team to understand and align pricing strategies with overall business goals.

New Product Research:

• Stay ahead of industry trends by conducting research on new products and evaluating their potential impact on pricing and profitability.

Technology Product Knowledge:

• Develop a deep understanding of our diverse technology product offerings to contribute to informed pricing decisions.

Economic Research:

• Stay informed about economic factors affecting pricing, such as inflation, currency fluctuations, and trade policies.

Supply-Demand Dynamics:

• Analyze supply versus demand to optimize pricing and maximize revenue.

Collaboration with Sales and Inventory Teams:

• Work closely with sales and inventory teams to align pricing strategies with sales targets and inventory management goals.

Analytical Intuition:

• Utilize analytical skills while also valuing and incorporating gut feelings and intuition in decision-making processes.

Overall Pricing Strategies:

• Focus on developing and implementing overall pricing strategies to maintain a healthy inventory turnover.

Data Analysis Skills:

• Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes. Proficiency in SQL or other analytical tools is a plus.

Reporting and Communication Skills:

• Generate and present insightful reports to communicate pricing trends and recommendations effectively.

Sales Experience or Negotiation Skills (a Plus):

• Previous sales experience to better understand customer perspectives is a plus. May also be asked to apply negotiation skills in selling, particularly in fielding offers on high dollar items.

• Pricing Analytics: Demonstrated experience in pricing analytics and strategy development.
• Data Analysis Skills: Proficient in data analysis techniques and tools, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
• Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with technology product categories and an ability to quickly grasp complex product specifications.
• Strategic Thinking/Innovation: Ability to think strategically and bring innovative ideas to pricing strategies.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
• Detail-Oriented: Attention to detail is crucial for accurate analysis and strategic decision-making.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Education and Experience:

• 2-4 year applicable degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• 1-5 years of applicable experience is preferred.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will work closely with the Pricing Director, gaining valuable experience and contributing to the strategic direction of CIT Electronics. As a Pricing Analyst, you will also engage closely with other members of our management team. This role primarily focuses on efficiently managing slow-moving inventory and formulating pricing strategies to uphold optimal inventory levels and revenue.

Salary:

$55,000-$80,000 - Compensation will be determined based on the alignment with the role and relevant experience.
