Housekeeper Job Description Summary: We are currently seeking the services of a reliable and dedicated housekeeper. The housekeeping department shares the following responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Cleaning and sanitizing resident rooms, offices, hallways and other areas on the interior and exterior of the facility and the property
- Operate mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums and other housekeeping-related equipment
- Clean fans, vents, windows, door frames an other high areas with the use of a ladder
- Perform cleaning procedures of resident rooms and prepare rooms for new patients
- Follow isolation procedures when cleaning isolation rooms
- Maintain infection control and standard precaution practices at all times
- Follow established safety precautions when performing duties
- Report hazardous conditions and damaged equipment to supervisor
- Assist with new admissions; assist with transfer of residents to different rooms within the facility
- Assist with the training of new staff
Job Type: Full-Time
Experience: Experience in long-term care facility preferred, but not required
