What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loss Prevention Specialist - NYC position at Citarella?
A Loss Prevention Specialist will monitor the store for potential thefts or security risks both internally and externally to protect the company's assets. Candidate will complete daily shift reports, document issues, as well as perform routine audits and reporting of any suspected instances of internal or external fraud. Candidates will also be part of the asset protection team and train employees on how to spot signs of suspicious behavior.
Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Protect store assets, including employees.
- Monitor the store for potential theft or security risks.
- Apprehensions of external theft if/when possible
- Complete shift report and document any incidents.
- Conduct Loss Prevention Training
- Perform routine audits.
- Note and report all internal and external incidents to Loss Prevention Manager
- Maintain Confidentiality with all information obtained.
- Monitoring of CCTV
- Random checks of trucks.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or
- as a loss prevention officer equivalent.
- Experience, mall security guard, or similar.
- Experience working undercover is preferred.
- Self-defense training is highly advantageous.
- Strong observation abilities
- Sharp critical thinking skills
- Effective communication skills.
- Must be able to identify suspicious behavior and other actions by patrons that can indicate theft.
- Valid Driver's License
