The Program Management Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.
Responsibilities:
- Monitors the program from initiation through delivery including planning and directing schedules and overseeing budget/spending. Gathers input from the project team and acts independently to develop a Project Plan for projects of moderate scope which may include novel products or services. Uses established tools, approaches/methodologies, and templates to guide and document the plan and communicate it to the team. Gathers feedback from the team to revise and complete the Project Plan as needed
- May lead multiple limited scope/small derivative projects simultaneously
- Nominates and solicits participation of team members from key stakeholder teams including other functional groups, set timelines and budgets independently. Oversees the work of the project team (indirectly supervises) involving members from a wide range of disciplines including technology, product, and operations
- Organizes cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of the program i.e., product on schedule and within budget constraints. Owns regular meeting coordination, facilitation, and documentation of progress
- Gathers status updates from the project team and interprets inputs from the team to assemble a consolidated view of status. Provides regular status updates to senior management as directed. Status reports are expected to be concise summaries, tailored to the audience. Owns ensuring alignment from key leaders of milestone achievement before moving the program forward
- Aids with coordination of deliverables and project assets to assist the project team. Personally, addresses obstacles or issues that are minor or moderate in severity and escalates complex issues to senior team members for assistance
- Demonstrates intermediate knowledge/application of basic Program Management techniques and approaches including familiarity with vocabulary. Familiar with PMI PMBOK, Agile Scrum, and Agile SAFe concepts. Regularly demonstrates effective use of project management tools and techniques in scheduling and staffing plans, with an understanding of task durations and dependencies. Develops simple risk management plans
- Schedule and coordinate program meetings
- Document and distribute minutes of meetings and follow-up on important actions and decisions
- Ensure projects within the program adhere to the frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project
- Close attention to detail and the ability to plan ahead
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-5 years of experience as a project coordinator/project management
- Intermediate to advanced skills in PC based documentation tools including MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and MS Project
- Must have strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Must have strong presentation skills. Demonstrated comfort in presenting to mid to senior level cross functional audiences
- Must be a self-motivator and be adaptable to an ever-changing environment
- Must be able to resolve conflict and solution problems as they arise.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree
- 5 years of experience as a project coordinator/project management
- Demonstrated working knowledge of advanced concepts with program management approaches, tools, and methodologies. PMP certification preferred
- Intermediate to advanced skills in delegation and follow up
- Experience with government sector information technology controls such as FISMA and FEDRAMP
- Experience with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS)
- Experience working with SDLC projects
