Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Banker for its New York, New York location.
Duties: Develop relationships with new and existing clients in order to identify new business opportunities and expand the business. Develop recommendations for product offerings, private equity transactions, M&As, and valuations. Prepare and review materials used in the financing of clients, including investment memoranda, management presentations, and pitch books. Coordinate the different work streams to successfully complete a transaction, while complying with the fiduciary duty to the client, and helping clients understand the different implications of the decisions to be made across a transaction. Evaluate operations, business plans, and financial and economic forecasts to produce strategic and financial analyses relating to the execution of mergers and acquisitions ("M&A"), leveraged buyouts ("LBO"), and debt and equity financing. Assist in client meetings and support senior bankers to better understand clients' needs and provide meaningful investing and financing recommendations. Develop various types of financial models to value debt and equity for mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising transactions. Perform various valuation methods such as comparable companies, precedents, and Discounted Cash Flow ("DCF"). Assist senior bankers in preparing plans for developing more business with clients based on the appropriateness of matching the bank's product offering with clients' needs. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field and 3 years of experience as an Investment Banking Associate, Operations Support Analyst, Manager or related position involving investment banking (M&A, equity capital markets, debt capital markets) for large corporate clients in LATAM. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the stated fields and 5 years of the specified progressive, post-baccalaureate experience. Full span of experience must include: Valuation and Credit Analysis; Financial Markets; IPOs, SPACs, DeSPACs, M&A, Private Placements; Capital markets products, derivatives, credit, cash management, trade, finance and securities products; Financial Modelling; Macroeconomic principles. At least 2 years of experience must include: FactSet, Capital IQ, Bloomberg Terminal. Requires written and verbal fluency in Spanish. Up to 4% international travel required.
