Citibank, N.A. seeks a Credit Review Senior Officer for its Irving, Texas location.
Duties: Review transactions to analyze credit data and financial statements to determine if degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money is acceptable. Review and assess effectiveness of existing credit risk controls for assigned businesses. Lead Fundamental Credit Risk (“FCR”) review for assigned entities within technology, telecommunications, and media industries. Perform sovereign credit risk and cross-border risk analysis to identify, monitor, and provide solutions to current and emerging credit risks across business lines. Meet with stakeholders to conduct business reviews. Identify and define risk management strategies and credit risks; perform accounting, financial management, and financial modeling. Identify, strategize, and develop solutions to identified risk and controls concerns. Evaluate appropriateness of corrective action plans undertaken to remediate gaps identified from reviews and business monitoring. Recommend application of credit risk policies to improve quality of credit analysis, accuracy of risk ratings and regulatory classification. Direct periodic full risk differentiated reviews and quarterly reviews (business monitoring) of assigned entity. Develop action plans to mitigate and solve identified risks. Perform project management activities. Ensure consistent credit review process for regional and global lending business. Recommend solutions and action plans for effectiveness of credit controls. Evaluate covered entities' staffing models to ascertain potential effects on quality of credit analysis and subsequent approval of individual credits within portfolio. Present findings and significant deficiencies to management.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field and 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Credit Risk Manager, Relationship Manager, Associate, Credit Portfolio Manager or related position involving credit risk analysis for the financial services sector. 7 years of experience must include: Regulatory risk ratings and classifications; Credit risk policies and procedures for a global bank; Accounting and financial management including financial modeling; Applying Corporate Banking principles; Debt and Capital Markets analysis; Sovereign Credit Risk and Cross-Border Risk analysis; Managing credit risk reviews and credit portfolios; Project management activities.
