What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Governance Lead position at Citi?
U.S. Consumer Digital’s Governance team helps to ensure that our Digital Bank, which supports Retail Bank, Cards, and Wealth Management, has all the inputs needed from a Control perspective to develop best-in-class digital products and services. The Governance team interfaces with the Digital Bank Product Managers to ensure that all features have undergone a risk assessment and been reviewed and approved by appropriate stakeholders, which include Legal and Compliance. The individual in this position will play a critical role in ensuring that all features are reviewed efficiently and effectively and provide guidance to Digital Bank Product Managers in support of that effort. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for the project management of the various activities carried out by the Governance team, which include the day-to-day Governance work as well as issue remediation, transformation, and documentation projects.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Proven experience in program management, with an ability to execute independently with minimal oversight and direction.
Ability to understand very complex topics that are unique to each project and summarize work efforts clearly and succinctly and willingness to be proactive in taking next steps and driving action.
Experience facilitating collaboration across teams and functions and considering risk and reward for all parties involved in any new decision, as well as considering controls available to mitigate risks.
Responsibilities:
Become a subject matter expert in Digital Governance requirements and be able to assist Product Managers, Control Partners, and other stakeholders in adhering to those requirements.
Validate risk assessments completed by Product Managers to ensure that all incremental Digital risks were completely and accurately identified.
Facilitate credible challenge review sessions between Control Partners and Product Managers, capture stakeholder concerns and questions, and verify resolution of follow-up items prior to release of Digital features.
Monitor status of completion of all Governance requirements for each monthly release and provide release approval decisions based upon validation of requirement completion.
Collaborate with the Governance team members and keep Governance Manager apprised of the overall release status and need for escalation where appropriate.
Participate in the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of a best-in-class Governance framework.
Continuously look for ways to improve and automate Governance processes, leveraging data analysis to help determine areas of opportunity, and participate in transformation and simplification efforts.
Identify opportunities to strengthen the current control environment in partnership with Product Managers, Legal, Compliance and other functional teams.
Audit procedures for consistency and gaps relative to regulations, internal policies, and actual processes, ensuring adequacy and effectiveness of business and operational controls.
6 - 10 years of program management experience
2 – 5 years of experience identifying risks and controls to mitigate those risks
Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and strong negotiation skills
Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, especially PowerPoint and Excel
Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience preferred
