What are the responsibilities and job description for the Risk Reporting Senior Analyst position at Citi?
Regulatory Reporting team, part of Data, Analytics, Risk & Technology (DART) has a mandate to effectively manage key regulatory reporting to external regulators like FRB and OCC. A number of remediation initiatives to address identified gaps, process enhancements are in flight. Single Counterparty Credit Limit (SCCL) rule compliance is one such critical initiative. The Risk Reporting Senior Analyst will drive the analytical efforts to ensure Citi's compliance with SCCL rule requirements
Responsibilities
- Report preparation and analysis for Single Counterparty Credit Limit (SCCL) on Quarterly basis and communication with Risk, Front Office, and other business partners as needed.
- Review monthly and intra-month SCCL results with key business partners as needed
- Support multiple control assessments and ensure controls are documented appropriately
- Support and develop presentations and reports for senior management and regulators
- Support the automation of report preparations, including UAT testing, and other improvements to reporting workflows
- Strong understanding of regulatory capital best practices and controls, and interdependencies between Trading Book and Banking Book exposures across different risk stripes
- Perform analysis of SCCL calculations and reporting against Capital Rule and Fed reporting instructions
- Support internal and external regulatory reviews and ad hoc queries
- Work closely with stakeholders in ICG Risk, QRS, Risk & Basel technology teams to develop a project plan with timelines for implementation of the enhancements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA and/or MBA). Masters preferred.
- 6 - 8 years’ work experience in regulatory reporting, of which preferably 2-3 years are within the banking industry or finance function
- Experience in Regulatory reporting is a plus
- Basic understanding of financial products from an accounting, product control and/or regulatory treatment perspective
- Strong analytical and financial skills with a proven track record of execution
- Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills with large amounts of data is a plus
- Strong analytical skills in financial and business analysis experience
- Hardworking with ability to handle several tasks, good problem-solving skills and the drive to work towards challenging deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and efficiently perform as an individual or in a team
