What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior SRE Lead position at Citi?
We are looking for an SRE Lead that will be responsible for establishing and running SRE function that will support Citi’s flagship Payment Express platform. Ideal candidate is a passionate and hands-on engineer with experience in building and leading a team, designing and running reliable, observable and controllable services at scale.
Skills:
Strong understanding of SRE principles and experience in real life applications.
Experience in designing scalable enterprise solutions with high volume and low latency requirements.
Experience in developing and coordinate cloud architecture across diverse areas including Application Development, Identity and Access Management, Network, Data management and Security to determine functional and non-functional requirements.
Good Understanding of Networking
Good understanding of all levels of security
Experience working on large-scale projects, leading teams in an agile methodology.
Experience developing software utilizing Java and SpringBoot.
Experience in Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD tools
Experience working with cloud platforms.
Qualifications:
15 years of relevant experience in an Engineering role with extensive experience in business, functional and people management.
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices
Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
Proven track record of operational process change and improvement
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Compuuter Science or equivalent experience
Master’s degree preferred
