Job Description
Citizant is seeking a highly qualified software developer for a U.S. Air force project at Maxwell AFB. A Software Developer’s duties and responsibilities depend on the employer. Their work revolves around the software development life cycle. Developers work with teams of coders to create software programs for computers, mobile devices and websites. They update end-user software and conduct quality control functions. Here are some examples of a Software Developer’s typical responsibilities:
- Collaborating with management, departments and customers to identify end-user requirements and specifications
- Designing algorithms and flowcharts to create new software programs and systems
- Producing efficient and elegant code based on requirements
- Testing and deploying programs and applications
- Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing software
- Compiling and assessing user feedback to improve software performance
- Observing user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software products
- Developing technical documentation to guide future software development projects
- Hybrid work is possible.
Qualifications
- Bachelors in Computer Science or related field.
- 3-5 years experience in software development field
- Active SECRET security clearance
- Prefer individual with previous DoD (USAF, USSF, USA, USN) experience
- Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 & Framework 4
- Active Client version 7 or higher
- Active Directory Application Mode
- Extensible Markup Language (XML)
- Hypertext Markup Language (HTML)
- Java & Java Run
- VMWare Tools
- Other software applications as directed by the USAF PMO.
