$15.00 - $20.00 hourly
JOB SUMMARY:
Spray foam applicators and technicians use compressor hoses to spray an expanding polyurethane foam material to insulate commercial and residential structures. The insulation can take place during or after a building’s construction. The individual must be somewhat physically fit, as the job sometimes requires spray foam insulation in tight or hard to reach areas such as attics, basements and crawlspaces. Other times the job may require operating a man lift or scissor lift to reach high roof and gables. In some instances, the job may require removal of previous insulation materials before re-insulating with spray foam.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Measure, fit, wrap, staple and cut plastic for covering surfaces, using tape measures, knives, or scissors
· Operate various types of equipment such as; forklift, man lift, scissor lift, mechanical saw, and grinder.
· Cover and line structures with spray foam, blown or rolled forms of materials to insulate against cold, heat, or moisture, using saws, knives, rasps, trowels, blowers, or other tools and implements.
· Demonstrated ability to consistently evenly distribute insulating materials into small spaces within floors, ceilings, or walls.
· Move controls, buttons, or levers to start generator, air compressor, pumps, reactor, spray gun, etc. and regulate flow of materials through nozzles.
· Regularly service and maintain spray foam equipment and keep insulation materials properly stored at all times.
· Strict adherence to safety guidelines
· Assist Lead Technician
· Successfully completed Spray Foam Applicator Training
· Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
· High School Diploma or GED.
· Basic knowledge of safety standards.
· Valid driver’s license
· Responsible work habits.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· The ability to perform job duties while wearing required safety equipment such as; Respirator, Supplied Air Hood, Tyvek type suit, Fall Protection, Safety toed shoes
· The ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
· Bending, stretching and lifting.
· Repetitive motion tasks on daily basis.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
· The work environment is typical hot and confined.
· Occasional work before or after normal office hours required.
· Occasional travel.
