SUMMARY

The position is responsible for various functions related to the processing of Foreign Currency transactions and support of the day to day processes pertaining to the department’s activities. Processing responsibilities include but not limited to, create, monitor and/or verify transactions across internal and external platforms. Functions performed have monetary exposure and risk involving large dollar volumes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complies with, and stays abreast of, all policies and procedures, federal and state laws applicable to the job.
  • Process incoming and outgoing foreign currency international wires transfers through applicable internal systems and external platforms daily in accordance with all wire transfer deadlines.
  • Monitor and process incoming and outgoing wires from queues through to completion.
  • Perform customer call back for potential fraudulent activity identified through monitoring processes established by the Bank.
  • Perform back office foreign exchange related confirmations.
  • Reconcile all wire activity processed through SWIFT and other correspondent platforms daily to our logs.
  • Research and resolve inquires and exceptions, as requested.
  • Update and maintain accurate reporting of department information.
  • Provide support and address customer and associate inquiries/issues related to wire transfers.
  • Provide education to center/department associates on wire transfer systems and procedures as needed.
  • Provide, present, and promote the Citizens Experience to all external and internal customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations and interpret and draw bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

COMPUTER & SOFTWARE SKILLS

  • Intermediate proficiency - Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Previous Electronic Payment System experience with a financial institution, familiar with Finastra Payment Solutions, ie Payplus, GFX, Total Messaging a plus.
  • SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication)

  • Ability to effectively prioritize transactions to address urgency of a request while managing internal and external processing deadlines
  • Must be able to multi-task and escalate cases as needed

The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
