The City and County of Denver’s Office of Human Resources is seeking an Associate Recruiter who brings a passion for learning and connecting the dots between people and opportunities.
As an Associate Recruiter on our team, you will work closely with a Senior Recruiter to build strong relationship within your agency/agencies. You must be a strong collaborator and an advisor on our recruitment processes and policies. In this position, you will work join a team of 29 other talent acquisition professionals to help make sure candidates and hiring managers have the best hiring experience. You will learn to become a Recruiting subject matter expert that can help guide hiring managers and candidates through the hiring process including: job market conditions, industry best practices, and appropriate pay.
Additionally, as an Associate Recruiter, you will:
- Learn all the phases of recruitment and selection to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and guidelines and City and County of Denver Career Service Rules (policies)
- Provide consultation on position management, job requisition, recruiting strategies and the overall recruit to-hire process
- Generate leads and prospects for candidate pipelining and respond to candidate questions, complaints, and appeals
- Assesses candidates for position qualifications matching the skills, education, experience, strengths, attributes, and overall qualifications of the candidate to the desired candidate profile
- Counsel both internal and external applicants on job opportunities, resumes, and interview etiquette
- Ensures accurate recordkeeping and compliance of candidates in the applicant tracking system
- Share and present metrics and other recruiting information with the client group
- Assist higher-level recruiters as you learn the role and gain experience

- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Experience: One (1) year of experience in Human Resources.
Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
