The Clerk-Dispatcher receives and establishes urgency of service and emergency repair requests; independently dispatches personnel by operating a radio-telephone communications system; performs a variety of clerical work; and performs other related duties as required.Current Vacancy Information: There are two (2) vacancies with the Department of Facility Maintenance, Road Maintenance Division, located in Kaneohe and Waialua.Under the general supervision of the District Road Maintenance Superintendent, this position serves as the radio dispatcher and performs a variety of clerical tasks which include the maintenance of records; compilation and preparation of reports; processing of personnel and payroll related forms; preparation of requisitions for materials and supplies and maintenance inventory of supplies.Special Working Conditions: Will be required to serve as a Disaster Response Worker during civil defense emergencies.If you qualify for the position, your name will be placed on an eligible list for further consideration. This list may be used to fill current and future vacancies in this department.
