Current Vacancy Information: There is one (1) vacancy with the Department of Facility Maintenance, Automotive Equipment Services Division, located at Halawa Corporation Yard. This position is responsible for supervising and participating in the lubrication and servicing of a large fleet of gasoline and diesel powered vehicles and equipment; maintains proper supply of oil and lubricants; plans work schedules and assignments; inspects work in progress and when completed; prepares service and maintenance reports; trains and advises subordinates on lubrication methods and procedures; operates, pick up and delivers automotive vehicles in connection with lubrication activities; may perform minor repairs and adjustments to vehicles and other motorized equipment, e.g. tightening or replacing bolts and nuts, protective shields, etc.; and performs other related duties as required. Special Work Requirements: Work involves crawling under trucks and other equipment; working in engine compartments; and certain mounted special equipment, e.g., compacting units. There is some exposure to cleaning solvents, used motor oils, and other chemicals. This position will be required to serve as a Disaster Response Worker during declared civil defense emergencies.
