We are a quickly growing company providing unforgettable craft beer experiences to over 40,000 people each year. Founded in New England, our experiences are now offered online and in 15 different cities across North America.
About the Position: Our Expert Beer Guides create the shareable moments that make our educational craft beer experiences unforgettable! Beer Guides lead groups of 3-14 guests on public tours and occasionally larger private groups on a journey through some of the best local craft breweries, including Nightshift Brewing, Sam Adams, and the Cambridge Brewing Company, teaching guests about the history and story of beer from grain to glass. Guides can work a variety of shifts that range from 2-6 hours and double shifts may be available. Hours are flexible and we will work with your schedule, but evening and/or weekend availability is a must. Our busiest time for tours is Thursday - Saturday.
What You’ll Do: You will pick guests up in a 14-passenger van and act as both designated driver and tour guide for the duration of the tour. You will create an engaging, fun, and educational experience while also championing safety and promoting a responsible appreciation of local craft beer for your guests.

Requirements:
- Passion for and interest in craft beer and breweries
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to comfortably navigate city roads in a 14-passenger van
- Valid Driver’s License with a Clean Driving Record (No DUIs)
- 21 years or older
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cicerone or BJCP Knowledge and/or Certification
- Home brewing or beer industry experience
- Previous tour guide, theater, and/or improv experience
What You’ll Receive:
Hourly pay tips: $20/hour tips. Tours range from 2-5 hours in length, and great tour guides can make over $100 in gratuities per tour! Beer Guides can also earn bonuses for positive reviews of their tours.
Opportunities for growth: As a constantly growing organization, we are often adding salaried positions and look to promote from within. Our COO, CPO, and Business Development Manager all started as part-time Beer Guides.
Flexible Availability: You tell us your regular availability and we’ll work with you to build a schedule that works for everyone.
Cicerone Certification: We will sponsor guides in passing the Cicerone Certification Program Level 1 and Level 2 certifications.
Free Tour Tickets: Guides are eligible to take one tour in each city completely free of charge after a waiting period.
Retirement: 50% match for up to 4% employee contribution, after waiting period
Physical Requirements: You will be required to safely operate a motor vehicle. This includes the ability to sit for durations of up to 60 minutes at a time while driving. You will be required to stand and walk for durations of at least 45 minutes at each tour stop and you will also need the mobility to pour beer from pitchers to glasses at various locations.
