City Experiences is seeking a Bar Manager for our City Experiences operation in Chicago, IL.
About You:
This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System.
About the Opportunity:
The Bar Manager’s function is to maintain and update all beverage programs, train and supervise Bartenders and ensure overall quality and profitability of beverage programs in Chicago.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with Director and Corporate Beverage team to maintain and update all beverage programs as needed.
- Handle special beverage requests as needed
- With F&B Manager’s assistance, responsible for hiring and training Bartender team
- Regularly train and evaluate Bartenders on specific bartending skills and duties
- Responsible for ordering of product, setting par levels, stocking and inventory completion
- Work with F&B Mangers to ensure proper scheduling of Bartenders
- Ensure regular cleaning and organization of all bar and beverage storage areas
- Work with corporate F&B team to implement new programs as needed
- Additional job duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least two years bar manager or equivalent experience
- Strong Excel and database skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Team player and have ability to work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization
