ROLE SUMMARY
The position of the Junior Loan Processor is responsible for preparing and processing SFR, MFR and Commercial loans. This position ensures loans are closed accurately and in accordance with bank guidelines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creates loan file and files documents according to established checklist/stacking order.
- Orders appraisal reviews, property profile, flood certificate, geocoding, environmental screen, and any other reports pertaining to the subject property as directed by UW to perfect CFB real estate collateral interest.
- Orders OFACs, credit reports, IRS tax transcripts, and verifications of employment pertaining to the borrower(s).
- Prepares and mails a variety of required correspondence.
- Monitors receipt of documents and follows up with necessary parties to ensure documents are received in a timely manner. Reviews completed loan documents and initiates corrections.
- Monitors loan documents as they are returned and files them as necessary for processing.
- Responds to questions from borrowers/brokers and follows up with them as necessary.
- Works with Title Companies and Escrows to finalize title policies and settlement statements.
- Ensures satisfaction of all post-closing conditions prior to scanning and shipping of files.
- Scans funded files and uploads the imaged documents into designated program.
- Collects, processes, and submits department invoices to Accounting for payment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Required Education/Experience:
- Graduation from high school, or equivalent (GED).
- 1 or more years of experience in mortgage or real estate loan processing.
Preferred Education/Experience:
- Some post-high school education or Associates degree in real estate, finance or business accounting or related field.
