Route Delivery Driver Trainee

At City Ice Inc our Route Sales Drivers use our refrigerated trucks to make deliveries to our Established customer base, So you may be delivering Ice all day but the scenery & locations are always changing, if you are adventurous and like to visit different places all day then this Job is for you!

City Ice Inc is a family owned and operated company that's been in business for over 40 years, so our people are more than just a number. We are currently looking for motivated individuals to train to become a Route Delivery driver. Trainees work with our experienced Route Delivery drivers to run local established routes while training to drive a Non CDL delivery truck.

Using our vehicles, you will be servicing our established customer base, so no selling is involved.

This job does require a good deal of bending, lifting and pushing - HARD LABOR REQUIRED for this position. (it's like getting paid to work out! with no GYM membership required!)
Hours per week can range from 25 to 40 hours per week. Overtime is occasionally available.
While no minimum work experience is required, some route sales or customer service experience is a plus.
Those who have worked in the restaurant and retail service industry are encouraged to apply.

• Good driving record no more than 3 points on drivers license.
• No at fault accidents in past 3 years
• Must be insurable at normal rates without conditions

• We do Work Some Weekends and they are quite productive days too.
• We usually start work at 7am and most route drivers are finished by 5pm so you are home every night!

• Good Range of motion and ability to move 200-400 pounds on a two-wheel dolly 30-40 dolly loads per day average 10# units moved per day = 1,400

• No Felonies in the past 7 years
• No DUI in the past 7 years
• Federal DOT requires applicant to pass physical exam and drug screen

• We Will accept recent driving school graduates also

• Daily Bonus of up to $25.00 extra per day
• We assist our Route drivers to train to obtain their CDL

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
