What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Sales Lead East (New York) position at City Innovate?

City Innovate is looking for a Regional Sales Lead with experience selling platform as a service to join our growing sales team. The ideal candidate has a network of contacts in the state and local government and a strong understanding of the procurement process.
What you’ll be doing:
A Regional Sales Lead will be responsible & accountable for new customer acquisition within a territory of public sector accounts (state & local). You will be an individual contributor that manages all parts of the new customer acquisition journey: identification > discovery > solutioning & demo > proposal > close. You will focus on the largest accounts as measured by employee and budget size.
At City Innovate we believe new customer acquisition is a team effort. As the leader of your region, you will define the direction of the sales strategy for all cross functional members who share your territory. This includes coordinating the work of multiple members of the pre & post sales team members: sales development, solutions, marketing, support, product, customers.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 5 yrs SaaS sales
- Minimum 3 yrs in the public sector
- Minimum 8 yrs in a business development role (customer facing)
- Closed a 6 figure contract (in any industry)
- Track record meeting quotas over $1mm/year in ARR (ASP >$250k)

- $250,000- $350,000 depending on experience
