Summary: Summer Camp Coordinator – Chastain Arts Center
Location: 135 Chastain Park Ave, NW, Atlanta, GA 30342
Salary Range: $22/hr
Type: Contract work based on enrollment
The Summer Camp Coordinator assumes the responsibilities of Summer Camp. Including, but not limited to: daily student check in/checkout, distribution of parent identification for weekly carpool, weekly camp administration, coordinating the weekly parent newsletter, point of contact for the instructors and parents, substitute teacher for instructors, organize lunch rotation, management for Summer Camp staff, distribution of the Camp T-shirts, photograph students for the social media pages & weekly newsletter, coordinate with instructors for daily supply needs, distribute supplies, coordinate instructors to cover lunch breaks, manage the summer camp supplies inventory, act as the safety monitor for the summer camp, and act as the liaison to center staff. The Summer Camp Coordinator shall adhere to all administrative memoranda from the Arts Center about, but not limited to, policies, procedures, registration, holidays, closing time, etc.
Must be available for all 5 weeks of camp.
The Summer Camp Coordinator shall notify the Arts Center as soon as possible if an emergency should prevent his/her attending a scheduled camp. The Summer Camp Coordinator agrees to work the hours of 9:00am-3:00pm. Monday through Friday, each week of camp from July 11th – August 12th.
As compensation for the Summer Camp Coordinator, the Arts Center will pay $22 per hour for managing and coordinating the camp. Mandatory training and/or orientation will be required.
Arts Education or Arts related degree; Experience teaching children in an arts environment; Administrative experience and organizational skills a must.
Be able to coordinate 5 weeks of 2022 Art a la Carte- Summer Camp for ages 5-12 up to 40 campers per week.
