Incumbents receive general supervision from a technical superior. Employees in this class may work evening or weekend hours and are subject to 24-hour, on-call duty. Work is performed primarily in an automotive repair shop where unpleasant odors and dirty and greasy shop conditions are regularly encountered. Work requires moderate physical effort.
