The City of Bryan Electric Utility Department, Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU), is accepting applications for a Division Administrative Assistant. This position performs a wide variety of clerical and administrative responsibilities in direct support of New Services & Engineering Division.
Hiring Rate
$16.00-$18.00 (depending on years of experience) plus excellent benefits.
Responsibilities
- Serves as initial point of contact for the division by greeting customers and staff in-person and by phone/email; answers questions and concerns and/or routes to the appropriate staff member for response.
- Creates, revises, or reviews a variety of documents such as letters, reports, forms, invoices, spreadsheets, etc.
- Inputs job status information into the system and coordinates with Fiscal closing jobs to plant.
- Coordinates Line Design functions with the Customer Service and Distribution Construction Departments, including processing work orders and maintaining reports.
- Maintains division policy and procedure manuals as needed.
- Creates and services informational spreadsheets for tracking major projects.
- Files easements and maintains electronic easement repository for the Engineering Division.
- Performs clerical and administrative work in answering phones, providing customer assistance, facilitating mass customer notifications, maintaining records and files, copying, faxing, scanning, ordering office supplies, processing departmental mail, scheduling meetings/training/travel, and performing other data entry or clerical tasks as needed.
- Reviews P-Card purchases; checks for completeness and enters/processes as required.
- Performs related duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED. Additional related training and/or course work is a plus.
- Must possess at least 2 years of experience performing administrative, clerical, financial, or similar responsibilities in a professional office environment.
