The City of Commerce City is seeking a highly motivated, attention-to-detail, Staff Assistant to support our City Manager's Office. The Staff Assistant will work under the direction of the Assistant to the City Manager to provide professional-level administrative, program, and technical support; act as a confidential liaison, develop communication for internal and external constituents, promotes community and agency relations, and conduct research.
This position supports the City Manager's Office by providing logical and sound discretion, judgment, and responsive service which are vital to maintaining the needs of our community. Education, Experience, and Formal Training
Seven (7) years of relevant, progressively responsible experience related to the position. Municipal government experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office365 required. An equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Must have a valid driver’s license.
Possession of an applicable bachelor’s degree may substitute for four (4) years of experience.
Possession of an applicable associate degree may substitute for two (2) years of experience.
