What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekday Mornings Cook- River Oaks position at City of Cottage Grove?
River Oaks Golf Course is looking for a weekday line cook and prep cook in the Clubhouse. The position is a seasonal (April-Oct) full-time position, with the possibility to earn year-round hours. This position would work Monday- Friday days as a line cook, along with prepping food for banquet events as needed. Must have excellent customer service and presentation of food skills. This position is responsible for the preparation of all food and specialty items within the Clubhouse.
- Responsible for the opening of the Clubhouse grill.
- Prepare all menu and specialty items according to standard recipes and processes.
- Food preparation for banquet events as needed by the chef.
- Maintain kitchen and prep area in a sanitary and organized fashion.
- Responsible for keeping food products up to River Oaks standards.
- Accountable for all food items and stock.
- Responsible for knowledge and practice of all applicable laws concerning the service and preparation of food products, including health code and OSHA regulations.
- Responsible for keeping food line stocked and prepped at all times.
- Accountable for food stock and cost control.
- All other duties as assigned.
- One year of line cooking experience.
- One year of prep cook experience.
- Must have a demonstrated knowledge of food and culinary practices.
- Must have ability to work well with others in a fast paced environment.
- Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with elected officials, employees and the public.
Salary : $20 - $22
